Individual, and group therapy, and maintain a private practice in Bandon, Oregon.
It is my mission to promote personal growth opportunities for healing, self-care, and healthy habits of mind, body and spirit, and to offer support for anyone seeking psychological and well-being assistance. I endeavor to provide compassionate, professional leadership, counseling and education with respect for the dignity of persons of all cultures and beliefs. In addition to this, I strive to provide excellence in pursuit of desired goals. I honor my commitments.
Philosophy and Approach: I believe that life is an unfolding process, that everyone creates the masterpiece called life and is shaped by the individual. My body/mind approach treats each person holistically. My belief is that any aspect of life can be changed, emotional injuries can be healed, and coping skills can be learned.
Formal Education and Training: I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University. Major coursework included Advanced Human Development, Brief Therapy, Social and Cultural Foundations, Counseling Theories and Practice, Career and Lifestyle Counseling. I have continued my education with studying EMDR, DBT, and Internal Family Systems. These approaches are used for treating trauma in a gentle and supportive way.
